You can use the Chrome extension called Direct Message for Instagram. This extension almost mimics the look and feel of the Instagram application. After you add an extension to Chrome, this extension does not require a separate login. If you enter your profile, the extension retrieves login credentials from your browser. When done, click on the little DM icon in the browser and the Instagram DM will appear.

You can send hearts, pictures and also emojis. Unfortunately, the option to send GIFs and stickers is missing. Plus, you can also block or report accounts from within a small window, or create group chats. Unlike IG: dm, you can also see Message Requests. Not only that, DM for Instagram also allows you to allow or reject requests.

Use the Chrome extension: Web for Instagram plus DM

Not only Direct Message for Instagram, there is another extension called Web for Instagram plus DM. Its function is almost the same as Direct Message for Instagram. This application also allows you to upload photos or update story flashes via PC. With this extension you can feel the experience of opening the Instagram web with the same features as Instagram on mobile.

However, you will find ads on this extension. In addition, you need a third-party plugin to send emojis. You can also apply the night mode feature to this extension. On the bright side, you can see the number of followers or new messages by simply hovering over the icon in the status bar.
