Facebook was reportedly developing a recent application called Thread. The Platform is designed to be integrated with a list of friends near the Instagram social network.

Reporting The Verge, Tuesday (27/8/2019), The Thread claimed was designed to be a companion of acFacebook's popular photo and video sharing platform.

Users are enabled to communicate, promote their content, and share their location with other users that include close friends list.

This development of services done by Facebook looks similar to the Messenger app used for the communication of users of Facebook social networks.

Not long ago, the social media giant was reportedly developing an Instant messaging app for Instagram. The news follows the rumors that Instagram will disable the new Direct Message app in some countries because it is less popular.

Unknown when the Thread app will be released. However, Facebook seems to be making the new service more than just a messaging app to prevent a Thread from being the same as a Direct Message app.
