Permanently Delete Facebook Messages
How To Delete Messages Permanently From Facebook
Step 1. Click the "Messages" symbol on your Facebook homepage. The Messages icon lies in the top left edge and resembles two little overlapping speech bubbles.
Step 2. Click the discussion including the message or messages you wish to erase. If it is not noted on the initial Messages pop-up home window, click "See All" to check out all of your personal messages. Click the conversation on that list having the message you wish to delete.
Step 3. Click the "Actions" switch and then click "Delete Messages" on the Actions drop-down menu.
Step 4. Click the check boxes located beside the messages you want to delete.
Click "Delete" and afterwards click "Delete Messages" to confirm that you wish to erase the chosen messages.
Suggestion
To erase an entire conversation instead of specific messages, click "Delete Conversation" after clicking the Actions food selection in the 3rd action.
Warning
Removing a personal message in your Messages inbox does not remove it from the inbox of your discussion partner.
